Manchester United turn down loan offers for Tyler Blackett - sources

Manchester United have rejected offers from three Championship clubs to take Tyler Blackett on loan, sources have told ESPN FC.

Watford, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers have all made offers to sign Blackett until the end of the season before the close of the loan window on Thursday.

However, United have rejected the enquiries and informed Blackett he might be required for the run-in to the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed his breakthrough campaign at Old Trafford this season, making 10 first-team appearances in all competitions so far for Louis van Gaal's side.

Blackett was given his first-team chance due to injuries to the likes of Jonny Evans, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo and impressed.

The England under-21 international has not featured since the home defeat to Southampton in January, but is highly regarded at Old Trafford having been handed a new two-year deal last month.
