Chelsea signed teenage midfielder Danilo Pantic from Partizan Belgrade on Thursday and loaned him to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.
Pantic, 18, is a Serbian youth international and played in last year's Under-19 European Championship.
A central or left midfielder, Pantic also gained Europa League experience a year ago with Partizan, featuring against Tottenham.
He's already made his debut in a Vitesse shirt in a preseason friendly last week.
"I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, the champions of the English Premier League, and I hope I can show my value at Vitesse in the coming season," Pantic said in a Chelsea statement.
"I am honoured at the faith both clubs have shown in me.'
