Borussia Dortmund's Jonas Hofmann could move, Adnan Januzaj set to stay

Jonas Hofmann has not ruled out leaving Borussia Dortmund in the winter break amid strong interest from several Bundesliga clubs, but it appears that Adnan Januzaj will stay.

Hofmann, 23, returned to Dortmund in the summer following a loan spell at Mainz, but after featuring regularly in the opening weeks of the season he has since dropped down the pecking order under coach Thomas Tuchel.

He made his first Bundesliga start in almost three months last weekend as Dortmund slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Cologne.

"We don't know what will happen. I am under still under contract, and I have to abide by it should the club not allow me a transfer," Hofmann told reporters on Saturday.

Sporting director Michael Zorc told local paper Ruhr Nachrichten the day after the Cologne defeat that it was up to the player to request a transfer. "We will not make the first move," Zorc said.

Hofmann has been linked with Hoffenheim, Hannover, Hamburg, Werder Bremen and Borussia Monchengladbach in recent weeks. However, Ruhr Nachrichten said that Dortmund have yet to receive any offers.

The paper also reported that Manchester United loanee Adnan Januzaj is set to stay at Dortmund for now.

The Belgium midfielder has not featured at all in the Bundesliga since Nov. 20 and has also struggled with muscular injuries. The winger has not even been on the bench for the club's last three matches.

The 20-year-old has not started a single Bundesliga game for the club, coming off the bench six times. He has appeared in 12 games for Borussia in all competitions.
