Wolfsburg centre-back Timm Klose set for Norwich transfer talks - sources

Norwich City have agreed a deal to sign Wolfsburg defender Timm Klose, sources have told ESPN FC.

Norwich have had an offer of £8 million accepted by Wolfsburg for Klose and the Switzerland international is due to fly to England on Sunday for talks and a medical.

Centre-back Klose has found himself down the pecking order at Wolfsburg this season, making just eight Bundesliga appearances in 2015-16.

The 27-year-old is keen to leave Wolfsburg this month in search of first-team football as he looks to boost his bid to make Switzerland's squad for this summer's Euro 2016 finals.

Norwich boss Alex Neill has made defensive reinforcements one of his top priorities during this month's transfer window as the Canaries have one of the worst defensive records in the Premier League -- conceding 35 in 21 fixtures.

If Klose seals his move to Carrow Road he will become Norwich's third signing this month following the arrivals of Ivo Pinto and Ben Godfrey.
