West Ham targeting Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike - sources

West Ham United are lining up a move for Fenerbahce's Nigeria international striker Emmanuel Emenike, sources have told ESPN FC.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is keen to bolster his attacking options after injuries to Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho.

The club's joint chairman David Sullivan revealed earlier this week that they were hoping to sign a new striker on loan, and sources told ESPN FC that Emenike is the main target.

The player has been on loan at Abu Dhabi club Al-Ain but that deal has been cut short, paving the way for a possible move to West Ham.

Bilic is an admirer of Emenike, having faced the player in Turkey during his time in charge of Besiktas.

West Ham plan to sign him on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
