Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski is close to agreeing a transfer to an unspecified club, his representatives have said. Udinese midfielder Zielinski, 21, has scored five goals in 35 Serie A appearances during a loan spell with Empoli this season and the Poland international said last month that Liverpool had expressed an interest. "There is a lot of truth in the Liverpool rumours," Zielinski told Sportowe Fakty back in April. "Jurgen Klopp is interested in me, and we have talked a few times." Dawid Chylaszek, of Zielinski's player agency BMG sports, told Reviersport on Monday that the player could be on the brink of agreeing a transfer. Chylaszek, who also represents Dortmund's Lukasz Piszczek and Liverpool academy player Kamil Grabara, said: "There's a lot of interest in Piotr Zielinski. "We are pretty far with one club already, and it could lead to a signature in the next couple of hours." Reviersport, which indicated that Liverpool remain Zielinski's primary suitors, said Udinese are requesting a fee in the region of €15 million for the player. Zielinski is under contract with the Italian club until 2018.
