Zlatan Ibrahimovic can thrive at Man United - Sweden's John Guidetti

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a world-class talent and will settle well at Manchester United, according to Sweden teammate John Guidetti.

Ibrahimovic, 34, will become a free agent when his Paris Saint-Germain contract expires at the end of this month and a source close to Manchester United has told ESPN FC that the striker is in advanced talks over a move to Old Trafford.

Celta Vigo striker Guidetti, 24, was on the books at Manchester City between 2008 and 2015 and he believes his compatriot will be able to adapt to life in North-West England.

"I think he knows the Manchester weather like I do," Guidetti said, according to Sky Sports. "He will settle -- anywhere he has gone, he has performed.

"He is a world-class player and is a world-class person. Any team that gets him should be very grateful.

"He is fantastic -- the way he speaks with the younger players, the way he demands quality. It is a true pleasure to play with him.

"There'll never be another Zlatan -- he's a one-off. The way he talked and behaved has inspired me."

Former Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona and AC Milan star Ibrahimovic remained coy about his plans in an interview with The Guardian on Tuesday, saying: "Let's see what happens."
