Ronaldinho closing in on Antalyaspor move - sources

Brazil icon Ronaldinho is closing in on a move to Turkey with Antalyaspor, sources in Turkey have told ESPN FC.

Ronaldinho, who has been without a club since leaving Fluminense last September, has no plans to hang up his boots and plans to continue playing.

The 36-year-old was strongly linked with a move to the Turkish side last summer, but it failed to materialise in the end.

Antalyaspor signed Ronaldinho's former Barcelona teammate Samuel Eto'o last summer and the ambitious club are keen to reunite the pair after failing to land the Brazilian last year.

A source close to the club has told ESPN FC that Eto'o has recommended to the club to rekindle their interest in Ronaldinho so that the club can try and make an impact next season in the Turkish Super Lig.

A number of Major League Soccer and Chinese Super League clubs have been linked with Ronaldinho, but Antalyaspor are hoping to lure the 2005 Ballon d'Or winner back to Europe with a lucrative offer.

Ronaldinho enjoyed spells in Europe with Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and AC Milan and the playmaker could now be set for a return to Europe with Antalyaspor.
