Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley joins Leeds United on a loan

Leeds United have signed Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley on a season-long loan.

Bartley, 25, made eight appearances for the Premier League side last season and will now rejoin former boss Gary Monk at Elland Road.

"It feels fantastic to be here," Bartley told the club's official website. "I found out about a week ago that Leeds were interested and, straightaway, it was something that I was really looking forward to.

"I'm just happy to be here now and have everything signed.

"There were a few other teams interested but as soon as I spoke to the gaffer, I told my agent that this was the only club for me."

Leeds' first fixture of the 2016-17 campaign is away to Queens Park Rangers on August 7.
