Diafra Sakho move from West Ham to West Brom falls through - reports

Diafra Sakho's proposed transfer from West Ham United to West Bromwich Albion has fallen through, according to reports.

Sources told ESPN FC that Sakho, 26, was set to sign for West Brom and become the club's record acquisition.

However, Press Association Sport, the BBC and Sky Sports all report that the switch has collapsed, with the latter claiming Sakho was not deemed fit enough for the start of the season.

Sakho joined West Ham from Metz in 2014 and has since scored 15 league goals in 44 appearances.

The Senegal international's future has been the subject of conjecture all summer with the player handing in a transfer request as he was reportedly unsettled by West Ham's pursuit of a high-profile striker in this transfer window.
