Juventus keen on Boca Juniors teenager Rodrigo Bentancur - Marotta

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that the club are interested in signing midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur from Boca Juniors.

Bentancur, 19, has also been linked with AC Milan and Arsenal, but Marotta said the Serie A champions were keen to bring him to Turin.

"Yes, we are interested in him as well," he was quoted as saying by Corriere dello Sport.

Juventus have an option to buy Bentancur for €9.4 million as part of the move that took Carlos Tevez to Boca last summer.

The Uruguayan is under contract until December 2018.

In April, sources told ESPN FC that Arsenal were tracking the player, tipped to become one of the best midfielders in the world.

Sources close to Boca said the Gunners were having him watched with a view to making a move.
