Vincenzo Montella: Carlos Bacca and Mattia De Sciglio out of my hands

AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella says he does not want to sell Carlos Bacca and Mattia De Sciglio but accepts the decision may be taken out of his hands.

Bacca has been linked with a transfer to West Ham United and De Sciglio to Napoli, but Montella insists both players are in his plans.

"I like having good players and [Bacca] and De Sciglio are in that category," Montella told Sky Sport Italia following the 2-0 win over Freiburg in a friendly on Sunday. "I don't want to make any changes just a fortnight before the end of the transfer window."

Montella admitted at the same time that a decision over the two players' future may not be down to him entirely.

"I'm just the coach and I have to accept the club's wishes with the maximum serenity and seriousness," he added.

Nevertheless, Bacca has also expressed his desire to remain with the Rossoneri for a second season, saying he is happy in the city and plans to score "another 20 goals" for the Serie A club, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Bacca scored 18 goals during his debut season for Milan after arriving from Sevilla for €30 million a year ago.
