Fulham sign Iceland defender Ragnar Sigurdsson from Krasnodar

Fulham have announced the signing of Iceland international defender Ragnar Sigurdsson.

The 30-year-old, who scored his country's opening goal in their shock victory over England in this summer's European Championship, joins from Krasnodar for an undisclosed fee.

He is unlikely to receive clearance in time to be involved in Wednesday's EFL Cup clash against Middlesbrough.

In a further boost to boss Slavisa Jokanovic, Danish midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen has signed a one-year contract extension at the club.

The Londoners have also been linked with moves for former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan, who is currently playing in China, and midfielder Neeskens Kebano from Genk.

Ryan Fredericks is edging closer to fitness but remains Fulham's only absentee as he recovers from ankle surgery.
