Valencia have made their second defensive signing of transfer deadline day, bringing in Argentina international Ezequiel Garay from Zenit St Petersburg. A club statement read: "Valencia CF have reached an agreement with FC Zenit for the transfer of footballer Ezequiel Garay. The Argentine international has joined Valencia CF until June 30, 2020." The 29-year-old former Real Madrid and Benfica man was the second central defender to join the La Liga club on Wednesday, following the arrival of France international Eliaquim Mangala on a season-long loan from Manchester City earlier in the day. Garay, capped 32 times by Argentina, has signed a four-year deal with Valencia. Valencia have moved to replace Shkodran Mustafi, who joined Arsenal on Tuesday.
