River Plate waiting for Lucas Alario bid amid Paris Saint-Germain interest

River Plate sporting director Enzo Francescoli has said he is waiting for a club to meet the release clause fee to sign striker Lucas Alario, a reported Paris Saint-Germain target.

Alario's agent Pedro Aldave recently confirmed that the French champions are "following" the player, who has an €18 million release clause. They are reported to have tabled an €11m offer.

Speaking on radio station AM1050, Francescoli said River would be powerless to stop Alario leaving when that price is met.

"There is nothing happening with Alario for now," he added. "If they pay his minimum fee release clause, though, then there is nothing we can do."

According to a report in Argentina's El Litoral, a meeting is scheduled to take place between PSG and Aldave soon.

Boca Juniors' Cristian Pavon is another reported PSG target, but speaking after his side's win over Colon, he said: "I read some talk about interest from PSG towards me, but I have not received any offers.

"We will see if there is eventually something."
