Swansea complete deal to sign Tottenham's Tom Carroll

Swansea City have completed the signing of Tottenham midfielder Tom Carroll, they announced on Tuesday.

Spurs will receive a transfer fee of around £4.5 million for the 24-year-old, sources told ESPN FC.

Carroll, who agreed a new Spurs contract until 2019 in September, completed a medical on Monday and signed a three-and-a-half year deal at the Liberty Stadium, where he spent the 2014-15 season on loan.

The former England under-21 midfielder has played just one minute of Premier League football for Tottenham this season and started only the club's two EFL Cup matches.

He becomes Paul Clement's third signing at the Liberty Stadium after winger Luciano Narsingh arrived from PSV Eindhoven last week and Martin Olsson joined from Norwich City earlier on Tuesday.

Carroll came through the ranks at Spurs but has made just four Premier League starts for the club and spent time on loan at Leyton Orient, Derby County and Queens Park Rangers.
