Napoli's Emanuele Giaccherini could make January move - agent

The agent of Napoli midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini has said he will look for a move for his client amid limited first-team opportunities.

Giaccherini, 31, has yet to start a Serie A game since joining from Sunderland in the summer and has appeared as a substitute on only nine occasions.

And agent Furio Valcareggi told Radio Kiss Kiss: "Emanuele never plays at Napoli.

"[Napoli coach Maurizio] Sarri and I are friends and there is no friction with him or [sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli, who I've known since we were little, but I will be asking for a solution to be found, and that includes leaving.

"A lot of clubs from abroad like him."

Valcareggi added that Italian clubs are also interested in the Italy international, saying: "Roma are very keen on him, and we like this idea a lot.

"[Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo] Corvino knows him really well and, if he wants him, he just needs to ask, while I'm going to call [AC Milan general manager Adriano] Galliani and offer him to him.

"Napoli are saying he is not for sale, but I'm sure if I talk to them I can convince them."
