Arsenal looking to loan out young striker Stephy Mavididi - sources

Arsenal are ready to send highly rated striker Stephy Mavididi out on loan with a number of clubs in England and abroad chasing his signature, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Mavididi, 18, came through the ranks at the Gunners and is well-regarded by the club, who feel a loan move would be the next stage for him to continue his development before returning to challenge for a place in the first-team squad next season.

The news of the England youth international's availability has alerted a number of Championship and League One clubs, while several foreign sides have also expressed an interest in taking him on a temporary basis.

Mavididi was Arsenal under-21s' top scorer last season, bagging 17 goals in 30 appearances, and he has since been promoted to the club's under-23 side this term.

The teenager has impressed in his new surroundings, scoring eight goals in 17 games for the U23s in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League this season.
