Jese Rodriguez will take a huge pay cut in order join Las Palmas on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the remainder of the season, according to the La Liga club.
Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez announced on Monday that his club are on the verge of signing the Spanish forward, who is under contract with PSG until June 2021, on a six-month deal.
"Our intention is to unveil Jese on Tuesday afternoon at the Gran Canaria stadium," Ramirez told his club's official radio UD. "Jese's deal is almost completed. There is a total agreement."
PSG coach Unai Emery hinted earlier this month that the Las Palmas-born winger could leave on loan in the transfer window as he could not guarantee him regular playing time.
Jese, 23, has made just nine Ligue 1 appearances for PSG, with only one of those a start.
Middlesbrough were among the clubs keen to acquire the player's services, with coach Aitor Karanka recently revealing he was trying to convince Jese to join them during the winter transfer window.
Las Palmas cannot afford Jese's high wages but it appears that the player's desire to return to La Liga six months after joining PSG from Real Madrid in a €25 million deal has helped them in their quest to land the talented forward.
"Jese is losing a lot of money but he has preferred to defend the Las Palmas colours," Ramirez said. "Our aim [in the transfer windows] was to bring Jese and we have achieved it."
Las Palmas are 11th in La Liga and host Valencia on Monday evening.
