Middlesbrough's Jordan Rhodes makes Sheffield Wednesday loan move

Jordan Rhodes' loan move from Middlesbrough to Sheffield Wednesday has been ratified by the Football League, with a deal in place to make it a permanent transfer in the summer.

It had been reported that Rhodes, 26, would join Wednesday for a reported fee of £10 million.

The former Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town striker joined Boro on a four-and-a-half year contract in January 2016 and helped them achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Rhodes has made six Premier League appearances this season.
