Middlesbrough midfielder Gaston Ramirez has completed a move to Sampdoria.
Ramirez, a Uruguay international, made 44 appearances for Boro after joining them from Southampton, initially on a loan basis, last year.
He made 26 appearances as the club were relegated from the Premier League last season, being sent off in the last of them at Bournemouth.
Ramirez moves for an undisclosed fee.
