Manchester City's Wilfried Bony seals £13 million return to Swansea City

Wilfried Bony has returned to Swansea City from Manchester City.

The Ivorian striker has signed a two-year contract with the option of a third with the club he left in January 2015.

Sources told ESPN FC Swansea would pay £13 million to get back Bony after selling him for £28m two and a half years ago.

The move was announced at the same time as Fernando Llorente's switch to Tottenham was confirmed.

Bony, 28, struggled to make an impact during his time at the Etihad Stadium scoring just 11 goals in 46 appearances for the club.

He has never player under Pep Guardiola having spent last season at Stoke City, where he scored just twice in 11 appearances.

But he will hope to rediscover his form at the Liberty Stadium -- a club where he averaged a goal every two games in 70 appearances for the Swans.

Swansea boss Paul Clement was keen to strengthen his forward line after agreeing to allow Fernando Llorente to leave the club.

It was the second shrewd move for Swansea on transfer deadline day following the arrival of midfielder Renato Sanches on loan from Bayern Munich.
