Watford forward Nordin Amrabat joins Leganes on one-year loan

Watford striker Nordin Amrabat has joined Deportivo Leganes on a a season-long loan, the La Liga club announced on Friday evening in what was the last move registered before the transfer window closed in Spain.

The Morocco international returns to La Liga where he had two stints at Malaga scoring a total of eight goals in 59 games for the Spanish outfit.

A statement from Leganes said: "Deportivo Leganes and Watford FC have reached an agreement for Moroccan striker Nordin Amrabat to join the club on loan for a season.

"The player, who is currently on international duty with his national team, stands out for his technical quality and his good shot.

"His unveiling will be announced soon."

Tied to The Hornets until June 2019, the 30-year-old Amrabat arrived at Vicarage Road in January 2016 from Malaga and made 44 league appearances for Watford since, 32 as a starter.
