No more discussions about move for Andrea Belotti - Torino president

Torino president Urbano Cairo has said there have been no recent transfer approaches for Andrea Belotti but stressed that the forward is happy to be at the club.

In the summer, AC Milan had been interested in Belotti, whose deal includes a €100 million clause, but did not follow up with an acceptable offer.

Cairo said he did not believe they would return for the player, telling Mediaset's "Tika Taka" programme: "Since the season started, we've not spoken with anybody [about Belotti].

"His objective is to do really well here and we've never discussed the transfer market.

"Belotti is happy at the Granata and, with all respect for Milan, is pleased to be here with us."

Belotti, 23, scored 26 goals in 35 Serie A games last season, and extended his contract until 2021 in December, when the release clause was inserted.

He has been included in Italy's squad for the World Cup playoff against Sweden after missing the qualifiers against Macedonia and Albania last month with a knee injury.

And Cairo said he hoped Belotti would help Torino shine this season, adding: "We spent a lot of money in the summer giving the coach the squad he wanted.

"Now we've all got to be united and let's see how things go in the league, but the aim is to qualify for Europe."
