Premier League clubs tracking Ostersunds' Saman Ghoddos - sources

A host of Premier League clubs are tracking Ostersunds striker Saman Ghoddos following his impressive Europa League displays against Arsenal, sources have told ESPN FC.

West Ham United, Leicester City, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and Brighton & Hove Albion had scouts watch Ghoddos, who helped set up both goals in Ostersunds' stunning 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

Ghoddos caught the eye in the first leg meeting in Sweden last week and won praise from Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in that game.

"Technically and tactically, I was impressed by him," Wenger said in his news conference ahead of the second leg.

The 24-year-old scored four goals and had four assists in Ostersunds' Europa League campaign, where they progressed through the qualifying rounds to the group stages before the round-of-32 meeting with Arsenal.

Ghoddos' agent, Ferhat Cifici, was in London to watch the game against Arsenal and confirmed there was interest in the player, but he refused to reveal the clubs chasing him.

Clubs from all over Europe have been alerted to Ghoddos' form with Celta Vigo and Hoffenheim also expressing interest.

Ostersunds are aware of the growing interest in Ghoddos and they are bracing themselves for offers when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
