Manchester United could lose England U21 keeper Dean Henderson - sources

Manchester United face a battle to keep England under-21 goalkeeper Dean Henderson, sources have told ESPN FC.

Henderson, currently on loan at Shrewsbury, is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season and, with a number of Premier League, Championship and European clubs interested, face losing him for a minimal fee.

The 21-year-old, who has been at United since joining from Carlisle at the age of 14, has impressed at Shrewsbury as they chase promotion from League One.

He has made 44 appearances in all competitions and was last week was named in the PFA's League One team of the year.

Henderson has represented England at U16, U17 and U20 level and made his U21 debut in a 2-1 win over Romania last month, having been part of the squad that won the Under-20 World Cup last summer.

United manager Jose Mourinho has used David De Gea, Sergio Romero and Joel Pereira as his first-team goalkeepers this season with Kieran O'Hara, 21, a regular in Ricky Sbragia's U23s.
