Crystal Palace have signed Jordan Ayew on a season-long loan deal from Swansea City, the Premier League club confirmed on Thursday. The Eagles announced the deal on their official website almost two hours after the transfer window closed, with the Ghana international becoming their fourth signing of the window. Ayew's exit from Swansea had been expected after Swans coach Graham Potter confirmed on Tuesday that the 26-year-old has not turned up to training as he looked to force a move away from the club. Fulham had also been interested in his services. "I am very pleased to be here," the younger Ayew told Palace's website. "It's been a long transfer window but finally I got a move. "The important thing for me now is to get fit and to be in good shape, and I know the manager wants to use me up front and make things happen." Palace are Ayew's third Premier League club, with the former Olympique de Marseille man tasting relegation with both Aston Villa and Swansea. "The manager, chairman and sporting director all made an effort for me to be here today, so I have to thank them," the forward continued. "I am looking forward to playing with the boys and meet the fans, and hopefully it'll be a good season. "I chose to come to Palace to continue improving. It's a step up for me and I'm ready for the challenge and to get to where I think I can get to." Ayew was a Ligue 1 winner with OM in 2010 before moving to FC Lorient on a permanent transfer in 2014. He was also part of the squad that reached the final of the 2015 African Cup of Nations, and represented the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup. Palace begin their Premier League campaign away at Fulham on Saturday.
