TOP STORY: Chelsea eye January moves for strike duo
Chelsea are so confident of having their transfer ban lifted in time for the January window that they are already lining up moves for a new striker to arrive midseason, according to The Sun.
Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson and Leipzig forward Timo Werner are candidates to come to Stamford Bridge and compete with Tammy Abraham for a starting spot.
England international Wilson, 27, has scored five goals in nine Premier League appearances so far this season, while 23-year-old Werner has netted eight time for Leipzig and once for Germany already this term.
The Sun reports that Chelsea's legal team believe their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport will lift the second part of the FIFA-imposed transfer ban, which already saw the Blues unable to make any signings in the summer.

15.12 BST: Former England international Jack Rodwell has passed his medical at Roma on Friday, but must faces from another midfielder for the chance to pen his signature, according to Sky in Italy.
The former Everton, Manchester City and Sunderland midfielder is a free agent after being released by Blackburn Rovers in June, but the Italian club are reportedly "auditioning" Liechenstein midfielder Marcel Buchel, possibly putting Rodwell's move in jeopardy.
14.01 BST: Chelsea boss Frank Lampard sent scouts to watch Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the Italian side's 2-1 defeat to Celtic on Thursday, according to the Daily Mail.
Chelsea are reportedly interested in bringing the Serbia international to Stamford Bridge when their transfer ban is lifted, with Lampard considering Savic his "heir".
Savic has 13 international caps and has been at Lazio since 2015, having scored 33 goals and contributed 23 assists in 174 matches.
13.13 BST: Former Manchester United youngster Ademipo Odubeko has signed for West Ham United on a free.

10.38 BST: Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refused to entertain speculation linking Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland with a move to Old Trafford.
United are in the market for a striker, either in January or next summer, following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez during the transfer window.
Sources have told ESPN FC that Haaland, who has scored 20 goals in just 13 games for Red Bull Salzburg this season, is on the club's radar after working with Solskjaer at Molde but for now the United boss is refusing to add to the transfer talk.
"I don't think it's the time now for me to talk about other team's strikers," Solskjaer said. "I spoke about Harry Kane [on Wednesday] and now Erling. I don't think it's right for me."
10.03 BST: Arsenal boss Unai Emery refused to be drawn on the future of outcast midfield star Mesut Ozil after Arsenal's 3-2 Europa League victory over Guimaraes on Thursday.
The German midfielder did not feature for a fifth consecutive match in all competitions, last appearing in a Carabao Cup victory over Nottingham Forrest.
"Tonight is not the day to speak about that," Emery said. "I prefer to speak about the match. We have all the players who played. He's not in the squad. That is the decision tonight. Now we are going to work towards Sunday."
08.45 BST: It seems that anyone and everyone is linked to Manchester United at the moment, especially by former players.
Paul Scholes is the latest to jump on the bandwagon, claiming a move for Mesut Ozil could be just the tonic for United's attacking problems.
"I can't understand that [Ozil's situation at Arsenal]. I think he's a player that can link a team together," Scholes told BT Sport.
"I think he's got great quality, he's shown that in his career, he could be an answer short term, I don't know. I think that would be up to him.
"I can't see it happening but I think he is a player that United could do with right now."
08.00 BST: LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic said that he has not decided on his future following his team's 5-3 loss to LAFC in the Western Conference semifinals on Thursday (stream the replay of the match on ESPN+ in the U.S.).
Ibrahimovic had a goal and an assist in the game but it wasn't enough as LAFC advanced to the MLS Western Conference final in the first postseason edition of the city rivalry.
When asked where he'll be playing, Ibrahimovic said it's "too early to speak" on whether he'll return for another season with the Galaxy.
"I have another two months [on my contract]," Ibrahimovic said after the match. "We'll see what happens...[If I stay], then MLS is good, because the whole world will watch it. If I don't stay, nobody will remember what MLS is."
The LA Galaxy star has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A as of late. Napoli were believed to be one of the frontrunners with Inter Milan's name also being mentioned.
However, the Nerazzurri are said to consider themselves complete in an attacking sense, meaning that their investment in the January transfer window will likely come elsewhere.

Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that Chelsea scouts were present at Lazio's clash with Celtic tonight in order to take a look at Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The midfielder has been a target for a series of top clubs across European football in the last few years, with one of the major issues being the set price. With Chelsea boss Frank Lampard looking to add to the Blues' ranks, it seems as if they'll be going all in on a few new acquisitions once their transfer ban comes to an end.
Milinkovic-Savic assisted in the build-up for Lazio's opener tonight as they lost 2-1 to the Scottish champions.
Inter Milan go after Muller
Inter Milan are stepping up their efforts to sign Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, Kicker reports.
The World Cup winner isn't happy with his current position at the club and could even look towards leaving in the January transfer window. Inter, on the other hand, are going in search of a back-up forward to Romelu Lukaku.
Muller, 30, has been with Bayern since the age of 10, signing his first professional contract with the club back in 2009.
