LIVE Transfer Talk: Chelsea plan triple swoop for Sancho, Chilwell, Henderson

The winter transfer window is closed, but now it's time to look ahead to the summer! Here are the new rumours floating around following the Jan. 31 deadline day.

TOP STORY: Lampard plans shopping spree on Sancho, Chilwell, Henderson

Frank Lampard has his eyes on a new goalkeeper, a left-back and a winger this summer, reports the Daily Mail.

Lampard made his first signing as Chelsea manager this week when Ajax star Hakim Ziyech signed a pre-contract agreement that will see him join from Ajax for a fee of £37 million in the summer.

The Mail suggests that Man United's Dean Henderson tops Lampard's wish list as a goalkeeping replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spaniard has been recently benched and replaced by Willy Caballero, but Lampard sees Henderson, who has impressed on loan at Sheffield United this season, as a perfect fit.

Ben Chilwell, who has had a superb season for Leicester City and has been linked with several clubs, is the main target at left-back. He is likely to cost £50m, though Lampard's biggest task will be tempting the England defender away from the King Power Stadium given that the Foxes are also likely to be playing Champions League football next season.

Finally, Jadon Sancho could be the missing part of the jigsaw. The Borussia Dortmund winger will be the main priority for several clubs this summer, but Lampard sees him as the long-term replacement for Eden Hazard. Elsewhere, Lampard also seems happy to pay the £23m that Inter Milan want for Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino in order to add further strength to the Blues' engine room.

LIVE BLOG

22.18 GMT: David Beckham's MLS expansion side Inter Miami have (finally) confirmed the signing of 26-year-old Mexico international midfielder Rodolfo Pizarro to a Designated Player contract after agreeing a fee with Liga MX giants and CONCACAF Champions League holders Monterrey.

20.51 GMT: Blossoming 18-year-old left-back Bukayo Saka has just 18 months left on a contract that pays him a paltry £3,000 a week, and with Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich having "serious interest" in the England youth international, the Athletic reports that Arsenal are moving quickly to tie him to a new five-year contract.

19.24 GMT: Having spent the past two years on loan at Atalanta, 25-year-old midfielder Mario Pasalic is poised to join the Serie A side permanently, with the Guardian writing that La Dea will exercise their €15m purchase option for the Chelsea player.

17.57 GMT: The Independent reports that all three of Liverpool's famed attacking trident - Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah - are expected to remain on Merseyside this summer, which would mean that the Premier League leaders could offer RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner merely a role as understudy to Firmino, leaving the door open for fellow interested clubs to make a more compelling offer to the 23-year-old Germany international.

16.30 GMT: You'd think that spending around £900m in recent seasons would help, but Manchester United are a shadow of their former selves.

15.59 GMT: Brazilian club Botafogo are in reportedly in talks with former Barcelona and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, says Globoesporte.

Toure, 36, left Manchester City at the end of the 2017-18 season only to spend less than three months at Olympiakos.

Now, having joined Chinese side Qingdao Huanghai in the summer, he's preparing to make the move to Brazil to join 33-year-old Japan legend Keisuke Honda.

15.15 GMT: Jurgen Klinsmann lasted 76 days at Hertha Berlin before quitting his job, but Kicker claims the former U.S. manager wanted the club to sign Arsenal's Mesut Ozil and free agent Lukas Podolski.

Hertha spent around €75m on four new players in January, including Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek, but the paper claims that only Santiago Ascacibar was approved by Klinsmann himself.

Ozil has been given another chance to shine at Arsenal, while Turkish side Antalyaspor snapped up Podolski, so there's no sign that Hertha would have actually been able to land either of them. But it seems transfer dealings might have played a part in Klinsmann's exit.

14.32 GMT: On-loan Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is of interest to Tottenham, says Italian outlet Corrierre dello Sport.

The England defender is enjoying a spell with Roma currently, but his former boss Jose Mourinho wants him to move to London instead.

United have been looking to sell the 30-year-old but a price of £17m will need to be paid if any club is going to land him.

14.15 GMT: If you want a bargain this summer, Ajax could be the place to find one. With Hakim Ziyech already joining Chelsea for an initial €40m, there are EIGHT other players who could follow him out of the exit door, says the Athletic.

First up, Real Madrid and Manchester United target Donny van de Beek is on the list. But there's also goalkeeper Andre Onana, full-backs Nicolas Tagliafico and Sergino Dest, plus winger David Neres. Defenders Daley Blind, Joel Veltman and Noussair Mazraoui could also depart, meaning that Ajax may be looking at a serious rebuilding process in the summer.

13.20 GMT: Just when you think Arsenal have turned a corner after a 4-0 win over Newcastle, the papers are full of the next crisis for the club.

According to the Telegraph, 20-year-old Matteo Guendouzi was left out of the squad entirely for the game this weekend because of a falling out with manager Mikel Arteta and some poor training performances on the club's winter break to Dubai.

The Daily Mirror says: "Guendouzi is not a guaranteed starter but would raise a big fee should Arsenal cash in to help Arteta shake up the squad this summer."

12.28 GMT: Christian Eriksen left Tottenham to join Inter Milan in January. But did he make the right move?

12.05 GMT: Norwich youngster Todd Cantwell has reportedly caught the eye of Liverpool and Man United, says the Athletic.

Cantwell, 21, has been a vital player for Norwich, despite the club sitting bottom of the Premier League, with Tottenham and Manchester City also showing interest in the midfielder.

Norwich won't want to sell, but will ask at least £30m if they are forced to, says the report.

11.25 GMT: Barcelona have been given the green light to make a signing outside of the transfer window after Ousmane Dembele was ruled out for the rest of the season, sources have told ESPN.

Barca filed a request to La Liga last week for permission to turn to the transfer market after Dembele underwent surgery on a ruptured tendon, leaving him sidelined for six months. The club are also without striker Luis Suarez for the next two to three months due to a knee problem.

La Liga maintains the right to authorise signings outside of the transfer window, which closed in January, on a case-by-case basis. The legislation states that if a player is ruled out for at least five months, a replacement can be signed. However, the club can only sign players already registered in Spain or that are without a team.

Sources told ESPN last week that Barca have looked into moves for several forwards already. Real Sociedad's Willian Jose and Real Betis' Loren Moron have been ruled out because of the money being demanded by their clubs. Alaves' Lucas Perez and Getafe's Angel Rodriguez, who scored in his side's 2-1 loss at Camp Nou on Saturday, are seen as more affordable options, with sources explaining Barca only have around €12m to spend. However, the same sources say that none of those four are currently the leading target.

Mundo Deportivo reported on Monday that the former Middlesbrough striker Martin Braithwaite, now at La Liga side Leganes, had emerged as the club's first option.

11.12 GMT: Bayern Munich have doubts over signing Leroy Sane from Manchester City this summer, kicker reports.

The Germany international was set to join the Bundesliga champions last summer, but a knee injury stopped his £100m transfer.

Following the winger's return to training, coinciding with a change of agents, kicker says that Bayern Munich have their doubts over Sane because Manchester City are seemingly allowing him to move on without a fight and are not interested in offering him a new contract.

Bayern are also curious as to why no other club has joined the race for Sane with his contract expiring in 2021, kicker reports.

10.40 GMT: Arsenal landed one Brazilian defender, Pablo Mari, on loan in January but the Sun claims they are ready to look at another in the summer.

Gabriel Magalhaes, 22, has impressed for Lille this season and has caught the eye of Arsenal, PSG and Everton.

The £30m-rated centre-back is also on record as saying he's a big fan of English football, telling Telefoot when asked about the Gunners' interest: "Maybe, I don't know, but I would love to play in the Premier League."

10.06 GMT: Barcelona want Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez to replace Luis Suarez long-term, but they'll have to include a player, says the Sun.

Martinez has a €111m clause in his contract which will open this summer and sources have told ESPN that Real Madrid are ready to enter the bidding too.

The Sun claims that if Barca want to land the 22-year-old Argentine then they'll have to add France striker Antoine Griezmann as part of the deal.

09.35 GMT: Boca Juniors are in negotiations with Inter Miami FC to sell their midfielder Agustin Almendra, according to TyC Sports.

Reports in Argentina claim a deal has almost been reached and that the 19-year-old will be sold to the MLS franchise for $10m, though he is also a reported target of West Ham and AS Roma.

Almendra, who captained Argentina at the U20 World Cup in 2019, has made only six league appearances for Boca this season. In total, he has scored two goals in 24 league games since making his first-team debut in 2018.

08.56 GMT: The agent of Raheem Sterling has said that the Manchester City star is not thinking of leaving the club during their two-year ban from European football.

UEFA on Friday announced its decision to ban City for two seasons from European competition -- including the Champions League -- after the governing body found them guilty of breaching financial fair play rules. City confirmed they will appeal the decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The ban has led to speculation about the futures of City manager Pep Guardiola and his star players, who may look elsewhere to play in Europe's premier club competition if they cannot at the Etihad.

Sterling has been linked with a £180m move to Real Madrid since the ban was announced. However, his agent Aidy Ward told UK newspapers: "Raheem is solely focused on Manchester City and will not be distracted by any talk of transfers to any club at the moment."

08.27 GMT: Valencia coach Albert Celades is hopeful the club will soon lock in emerging star Ferran Torres to a long-term contract amid interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Spain U21 international Torres, 19, has scored four goals and set up four more in 18 league starts for Los Che. His strong performances this season have attracted the attention of the two most recent Champions League-winning clubs, and Valencia are keen for the winger to sign a new deal soon, with his current one expiring in 2021.

Asked about how the club's current negotiations with Torres on signing a new contract are going, Celades told reporters: "I hope Ferran can stay at our club for a very long time. He is a home player and he feels it, that is always a plus. I hope an agreement can soon be reached with Ferran."

A youth product of Valencia, Torres is in his third season with the first team. He became the club's youngest Champions League goal scorer when he hit the back of the net against Lille.

08.00 GMT: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that Paul Pogba's future at Old Trafford will only be decided by Manchester United. Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola has repeatedly suggested the France international could look to leave United in the summer, but Solskjaer says it is the club's decision.

"I've not spoken to Mino, that's for sure," Solskjaer told a news conference ahead of Monday's Premier League trip to Chelsea. "I haven't sat down and told Paul to tell his agent what to say, but Paul is our player and not Mino's.

"Paul's still on his recovery programme, he's taken off his cast, so when he comes back here we'll integrate him with us. Hopefully soon. He's started running on the treadmill now, so he's getting closer. It's been a long haul, this, so hopefully we'll see him back soon."

Solskjaer also said United's summer recruitment drive will be made easier if they can offer prospective new signings Champions League football.

United have pledged to continue to invest in the squad with Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho on their wanted list, and ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge -- crucial in the race for the top four -- Solskjaer has said a return to the Champions League could help lure the best players to Old Trafford.

"The Champions League gives the club more resources, more money, that's one thing," Solskjaer said. "It's a prestigious tournament to be in, of course. Doing as well as we can and if we play well the rest of the season, and players that we might want are impressed by that, it might be easier to convince them that we're here.

"But I don't think one season -- this season is the Europa League -- if next season is with or without the Champions League, I wouldn't say that's the be-all and end-all for a player to sign for us."

PAPER TALK (by Nick Judd)

Man United to sign Ighalo permanently?

Manchester United are already making plans for next season and that could mean a permanent deal for loan signing Odion Ighalo.

Ighalo could earn a permanent move to Old Trafford should he impress in his loan spell. The Nigeria international is expected to feature against Chelsea on Monday night and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has dangled the carrot of a dream long-term move if Oghalo can find the net consistently over the next few months.

Atletico to move for Salisu?

Atletico Madrid are already planning ahead for next season and one player they're considering, according to Marca, is Real Valladolid centre-back Mohammed Salisu.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form this season, forming part of a defence that has conceded just 27 goals so far from 24 games. Salisu's release clause is just €12m and other clubs are circling around the youngster, including Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, Valencia and Getafe, which could prompt Atletico into taking action before the end of the season.

Tap-ins

Gianluigi Donnarumma could be leaving AC Milan this summer, reports Tuttosport, who also suggest that Torino's Salvatore Sirigu could be a possible replacement. Donnarumma's contract renewal talks aren't going well, and Sirigu's contract ends in 2022. However, he's believed to have a good relationship with Torino owner Urbano Cairo, which could enable him to leave this summer and secure a move to the San Siro.
