The coronavirus pandemic has made the transfer market uncertain -- and you can find out when the windows open here -- but here are the rumours floating around Europe's big leagues and beyond.
TOP STORY: Liverpool won't meet Bayern's price for Thiago
The Guardian reports that Liverpool have told Bayern Munich they will not pay the required fee of €30 million to sign midfielder Thiago.
Reports in recent days suggested the Reds were closing in on the signing of the 29-year-old, who has one year remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga champions.
Thiago is said to be interested in the move, with Bayern reluctant to let him go, whereas Liverpool are more than happy to wait to see whether the Bavarians' position changes in the coming days.

22.44 BST: Raul Jimenez to Juventus?
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, via the Daily Star, claims that Wolves have already turned down a bid from the Italian champions that also included midfielder Aaron Ramsey going the other way. The club has reportedly placed a £90 million price tag on the Mexican striker's head, Jimenez having scored 44 goals and laid on another 18 assists in two seasons at Molineux. Ramsey, meanwhile, struggled during his first season in Turin and is reportedly seen as surplus to requirements by new manager Andrea Pirlo.
Wolves don't seem keen to move Jimenez but if they do they will almost certainly have to lower their asking price for the 29-year-old centre-forward.
21.53 BST: With Chelsea continuing to pursue Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell, the Foxes are identifying potential replacements for the England international.
Leicester have been linked with Fulham's Joe Bryan and Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon, but now Calciomercato claims Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico is at the top of their wish list. The report adds that Leicester will need to pony up €45 million for the Argentine, who has also been linked with Inter Milan and Napoli.
The 27-year-old has impressed in the Eredivisie and Champions League since arriving at Ajax in 2018.
21.07 BST: Could Crystal Palace flop Alexander Sorloth be Champions League bound?
The 24-year-old striker is fresh off a 24-goals season in Turkey with Trabzonspor and is being tipped to replace Timo Werner at Champions League semifinalists RB Leipzig. The Norway international is one year into a two-year loan spell in Turkey and Palace will need to try and negotiate an early termination with the Turkish club in order to sell him to Leipzig.
What makes this complicated for the Eagles is that they do not have an early termination clause and Trabzonspor also have a purchase clause of £5.5 million, though that is reportedly dependent on him playing 50 per cent of next season's matches. Stay tuned!
20.33 BST: Olimpiacos have announced they have signed defender Jose Holebas.

The 36-year-old leaves relegated Watford after five seasons and returns to the Greek side where he played from 2010-14. A Greece international, Holebas is known for his rugged style, the left-back racking up 40 yellow cards (second most during that span) and one red during his five seasons at Vicarage Road.
19.48 BST: Southampton want Schalke and United States midfielder Weston McKennie but must first rid themselves of some poor contracts, according to talkSport.
While Ralph Hasenhuttl has identified the American to replace recent departure Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg but talkSport says first Saints must find homes for Wesley Hoedt, Mario Lemina and Guido Carrillo. Southampton have already spent £23 million this summer and Schalke are asking for £20m for the 21-year-old midfielder
19.02 BST: Norwich City have signed Villarreal defender Xavi Quintilla on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old left-back played 19 times in La Liga last season for the Yellow Submarine and previously came through Barcelona's famed La Masia academy.
18.12 BST: Everton have had £20 million bid rejected for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure but are prepared to make an improved offer.
Everton will make a £25m offer to Watford for Abdoulaye Doucoure sources have told ESPNFC. The relegated Hornets are prepared to sell the Frenchman but are holding out for £25 million for the 27-year-old.
Doucoure has been one of the top players outside the top six since arriving from Rennes in 2016.
17.31 BST: Lazio are upset about missing out on David Silva but could James Rodriguez now be the Roman club's top target?
La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that the out-of-favour Real Madrid playmaker is now an option for Simone Inzaghi's club. The Colombian, still only 29, made just 14 appearances this season at the Bernabeu (nine starts) and badly wants a move in order to secure consistent playing time.
The outlet adds that James' wages could prove an obstacle and that Lazio could then turn to former star Felipe Anderson, who is expected to be sold by West Ham after a disappointing season in London.
17.00 BST: Ronald Koeman might not be staying too long in the Barcelona job once he gets it.
16.02 BST: Corriere dello Sport reports that Manchester City are closing on the signing of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Koulibaly, 29, has been on the radar of Europe's top clubs this summer but Napoli wanted over €100m. Now they have reportedly dropped their asking price to €70m plus bonuses and that's enough for City to get interested.
15.24 BST: Eric Abidal has left his role as Barcelona technical secretary as the fallout continues from Friday's 8-2 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
Abidal's departure comes less than 24 hours after coach Quique Setien was dismissed, with sources telling ESPN that Ronald Koeman will be named as his replacement imminently.
"Barcelona and Abidal have reached an agreement for the ending of the contract that united the two parties," a short statement read. "The club would publicly like to thank him for his professionalism, commitment, dedication and the close and positive nature of his relationship with all aspects of the Blaugrana family."
15.15 BST: Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman has said the Barcelona release clause in his contract has resulted in an "ugly" situation for the Dutch FA.
Sources have told ESPN that Koeman is in advanced talks to take over the role of Barcelona head coach after Quique Setien was sacked on Monday.
Koeman has a clause in his contract with the national organisation that would allow him to leave if Barcelona offered him a job as boss.
"I can't say much before everything is signed. It is about the details now but it could very well be it will be final today," Koeman told Fox Sports. "I didn't expect things to go this fast, and it is not the best timing. It took me by surprise as well but Barcelona is the only club for which I had a release clause in my contract. It's ugly for the Dutch FA but not unexpected."
14.53 BST: Atletico Madrid's chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin has said the club will "make three or four changes at most" to the squad this summer.
Atletico have minimal funds to spend on transfers this summer due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, while Diego Simeone and his team were forced to take temporary 70% pay cuts in April.
Speaking to the EFE news agency, Gil Marin described the pandemic as "the biggest challenge the club has faced" and revealed that La Liga's spending restrictions mean "players will only be able to arrive when the investment doesn't exceed 25% of the amount we receive from player sales or save on player departures."
14.29 BST: Manchester United are going to need to spend some cash this summer if they are going to compete next season.
14.00 BST: U.S. women's national team central midfielder and 2019 World Cup winner Rose Lavelle has joined Manchester City, the club announced on Tuesday.
On Sunday, Washington Spirit announced they had traded the 25-year-old to OL Reign in exchange for a first round draft pick in the 2022 NWSL College Draft, $100,000 in allocation money and additional allocation money based on her future playing status in the NWSL.
"I knew always at some point in my career I wanted to come and experience playing overseas and play somewhere in Europe and Man City is obviously an incredible club," Lavelle told ESPN. "I think they are one of the best clubs in the world and they have a lot of resources for the men's and women's side so that was something I definitely wanted to be a part of. It was an opportunity I didn't want to pass up."
13.36 BST: Arsenal are hopeful of completing a deal for Gabriel Magalhaes after agreeing a fee with Lille in the region of £22m, sources have told ESPN's James Olley.
The Gunners are in the market for another centre-back despite William Saliba returning from a season-long loan at Saint-Etienne to begin his career in north London, as well as signing Pablo Mari on a permanent basis from Flamengo.
Gabriel has attracted interest from several teams, including Napoli and Everton, who are also reported to have made a bid to bring the 22-year-old to the Premier League.
Manchester United have been monitoring the situation but it is unclear at this stage whether they have tabled a formal offer. Like Arsenal, they are keen on signing a left-footed centre-back this summer and have scouted a number of options.

12.54 BST: Newcastle United, takeover, Cristiano Ronaldo. That's basically all you need to know right there.
The Daily Telegraph has a report which talks about a £280m offer for the Premier League club from Bellagraph Nova Group (BNG), and apparently they want to sign Ronaldo from Juventus too.
A tweet (classy) from the firm on Sunday said: "While seeking to expand our boundaries and thriving for excellence, the BNG is on the quest of new sport adventures which leads us to establishing new synergies with different clubs and players such as @Cristiano who is a true representative of our values."
And the BNG's chief global marketing and investor relations officer, Nereides de Bourbon, told the Telegraph they were in "direct contact" with the Portuguese.
The Sun had claimed they also want to appoint Newcastle legend Alan Shearer as manager. Which they probably have 100,000,000% more chance of doing than signing Ronaldo.
12.30 BST: Lionel Messi knows that he holds all the cards at Barcelona.
12.06 BST: Real Madrid playmaker Reinier will play on loan at Borussia Dortmund for the next two seasons, according to GloboEsporte.
The Brazilian starlet joined Madrid on a six-year deal in January from Flamengo for a reported €30m fee but only played for the reserves.
With Eder Militao, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. occupying the three-non European spots at Madrid, Reinier, 18, will be loaned this summer. A move to Borussia will allow Reinier some playing time while get some experience of European football before returning to the Bernabeu in 2022.
11.35 BST: Ronald Koeman wants to lure Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek to Barcelona, according to Onda Cero radio.
Koeman, who is in line to replace sacked Quique Setien as coach of Barcelona, has reportedly requested the signing of Van de Beek. The Dutchman was a reported target of Real Madrid last summer, and is tied to Ajax until June 2022.
Ajax wanted €55m for Van de Beek last year but could sell for €30m this summer. The 23-year-old scored eight goals and set up six more in 23 league appearances for Ajax this past season.
10.56 BST: Sky Italia reports that Everton are keen to acquire Roma captain Alessandro Florenzi.
The Toffees are looking to strengthen their right-back position and have identified Florenzi as an ideal candidate. The Italy international spent the last six months on loan at Valencia where he made 12 league appearances.
Florenzi's versatility -- he can play in both full-back roles and on both flanks -- makes him an attractive choice for coach Carlo Ancelotti. The 29-year-old is tied to Roma until June 2023 and is also a target of Atalanta.
10.40 BST: Arsenal are set to sign former Tottenham defender Jonathan Dinzeyi, says The Athletic.
Dinzeyi, 20, has been capped by England at under-18 level, but did not make the breakthrough into the Spurs first team and was released this summer.

09.46 BST: Atletico Madrid are keen on Napoli's Allan, AS reports, and have suggested a player swap after the Serie A club demanded €40m for the Brazilian.
Diego Simeone's team would be willing to exchange Mexico's Hector Herrera and Colombia's Santiago Arias -- both of whom have been previously linked with Napoli -- for the 29-year old defensive midfielder.
Atletico are short on cash this summer and the newspaper claims they also face competition from Everton, who are ready to offer €25m, and Borussia Dortmund.
09.12 BST: Benfica are looking to finalise the signing of Edinson Cavani on Tuesday, according to Record.
Cavani is currently in Ibiza and is expected to travel to Lisbon in the coming days once the deal is announced.
The Uruguay forward, whose contract with PSG expired in June, admitted his future was still up in the air as he departed Montevideo on Sunday to return to Europe.
Cavani, 33, has been offered a three-year contract with Benfica, worth €8m net per season.
08.27 BST: David De Gea is confident he has done enough to continue to be the club's No. 1 next season during his nine years at Manchester United.
The Spaniard has come in for criticism at times this term, particularly after two costly mistakes in the FA Cup semifinal defeat to Chelsea. The 29-year-old was then picked ahead of regular Europa League keeper Sergio Romero as United went out of the competition following a 2-1 defeat to Sevilla in Cologne on Sunday.
De Gea, who arrived from Atletico Madrid in 2011, could face added competition if manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decides to bring back Dean Henderson following his successful loan spell at Sheffield United, but the Spain international has faith that he can keep the gloves.
"I trust in myself," De Gea said. "I showed my qualities all the years, so I just keep available for the manager.
"I'm always ready to play and try to help the team as always -- as I did always."
08.00 BST: Real Sociedad have signed former Manchester City midfielder David Silva as a free agent, the La Liga side said in a statement on Monday.
The former Spain international, 34, has left City after a decade of service in which he won 11 major trophies including four Premier League titles. The Manchester outfit had announced earlier on Monday that they would be honouring the Spaniard by building a statue of him outside the Etihad Stadium.
La Real, who finished sixth in La Liga, were searching for a new playmaker after Martin Odegaard ended a one-year loan spell to return to Real Madrid. Silva had been linked with a move to Italian club Lazio, but instead returns to his home country, having begun his professional career at Valencia.

Manchester City are looking to trigger a buy-back clause that will see Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz return to the Etihad, Globo Esporte reports.
The Brazilian was highly rated by manager Pep Guardiola, but between a failed work permit and the depth of competition in their squad, he never really got a chance in the first team. After a two-year loan at Girona, he made the permanent switch to relegation strugglers Villa, and City are now ready to try to bring the midfielder back home.
If they want to make it happen, they'll have to pay a fee of at least £25m.
Man United continue Costa pursuit
Manchester United are still keeping tabs on Juventus winger Douglas Costa, according to Sky Sports.
The Red Devils' recruitment team have been following him closely for the duration of the Serie A campaign, to the point where he is considered to be the most viable alternative if they can't close a €120m deal for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
At the age of 29, Costa is a seasoned pro with stints at Gremio, Bayern Munich and Shakhtar Donetsk prior to his three-year spell in Turin. While he has enjoyed great success there, United won't be afraid to splash the cash in an attempt to bolster their ranks as their return to Champions League football awaits.

- Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to pursue the signing of Braga forward Paulinho this summer, Sky Sport Italia reports. While Wolves may have a handful of capable attacking options at their disposal, there is a growing fear that leading man Raul Jimenez could leave Molineux after yet another phenomenal season for the club. Paulinho, on the other hand, is viewed as a viable option for Nuno Espirito Santo, and a deal could be struck for a fee of about £23m.
- Het Laatste Nieuws writes that Leeds United could be priced out of a move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi. Even though the Blues know they almost certainly won't be able to recoup the £33m they paid for him in 2016, the report notes that Leeds will probably still have to pay in excess of £20m.
- Australia international Trent Sainsbury is on his way to Kortrijk in the Belgian top flight, according to ERETZ Sport. The centre-back made 31 appearances, scoring two goals, for Maccabi Haifa last season.
