The coronavirus pandemic has made the transfer market uncertain -- and you can find out when the windows open here -- but here are the rumours floating around Europe's big leagues and beyond.
TOP STORY: Romero bait to lure Grealish to Old Trafford
The rumours linking Manchester United with Aston Villa talisman Jack Grealish simply won't go away, and now the Mail are reporting that the Reds are looking to throw in Argentina international Sergio Romero to help seal the deal for the Villain's skipper.
Back-up keeper Romero is desperate for more first-team football and United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is just as keen to inject some fresh energy into his side's midfield. The only job now is convincing Aston Villa, who are on the lookout for a new keeper, and Grealish himself, to ensure all the pieces of the jigsaw fall into place.
Romero could be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford anyway with Solskjaer keen to let Dean Henderson challenge David De Gea for the No. 1 spot. The United boss has been impressed by Henderson's enthusiasm since his return from his loan spell at Sheffield United.
And with Villa keen to bolster their goalkeeping ranks, and Romero open to a move, it could appease every party. Grealish is becoming an increasingly integral target for United, particularly with negotiations around Jadon Sancho becoming increasingly complex, as ESPN's Mark Ogden reported on Wednesday.

19.10 BST: Facing down debts of €180m, Lyon are looking at the prospect of potentially selling all three of Houssem Aouar, Moussa Dembele and Memphis Depay this summer, according to L'Equipe. Arsenal lead the chase for 22-year-old midfielder Aouar, who's valued at up to €60m, with their offer of Matteo Guendouzi plus cash. Dembele is said to have suitors in the Premier League and is available for €40m, while Depay's contract expiring in 12 months put the French giants in a difficult negotiation position.
18.33 BST: Manchester City's £25m asking price to make Angelino's loan move to RB Leipzig permanent put an end to negotiations, and now the Times writes that the 23-year-old intends to return to the Etihad to make the starting left-back spot his own as Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko have underwhelmed in the position.
17.56 BST: Wolves are open to offers for 24-year-old winger Adama Traore, according to the Mail, but value the Barcelona academy graduate who has three years remaining on his contract at an eye-watering £70m.
17.19 BST: Raul Jimenez is Juventus' primary target to replace Gonzalo Higuain, ESPN Mexico and several other outlets cite Gazzetta dello Sport as reporting, however the Serie A champions are unwilling to meet Wolves' €100m asking price and instead have looked to include Aaron Ramsey or Higuain in the deal - a proposition the West Midlands club are uninterested in.
16.42 BST: As Chelsea search for defensive reinforcements, the Telegraph reports that they're considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain captain and pending free agent Thiago Silva. The 35-year-old Brazilian has drawn interest from AC Milan and Fiorentina, but has his heart set on a move to the Premier League, where Everton are another interested party.

15.28 BST: The Telegraph writes that Bayer Leverkusen prodigy Kai Havertz will sign a five year contract at Chelsea, so long as the West London club can close the €20m gulf in valuation with the Bundesliga club this week.
14.51 BST: Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has received his first offer to leave Barcelona this summer, according to Diario Sport.
Fulham, which recently gained promotion to the Premier League, have reportedly made an offer to the 33-year-old centre-back to join them next season.
Pique is tied to Barca until June 2022 and said in the aftermath of his team's humiliating 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League that he would be willing to leave this summer if new blood had to come to turn things around.
Barcelona would facilitate his departure with club president Josep Maria Bartomeu recently saying that it's time to say "farewell to some club legends" as part of a major overhaul of the squad.
This year marked Pique's 12th season at Barcelona, where he returned in 2008 after four seasons at Manchester United.
14.21 BST: Goalkeeper Antonio Adan has confirmed he's leaving Atletico Madrid, with the club expected to complete the signing of Ivo Grbic shortly.
Adan, 33, joined Atletico from Real Betis in 2018 as a backup to No.1 Jan Oblak and made just two appearances in La Liga.
He'll be replaced by 24-year-old Grbic, who joins from Croatia's Lokomotiva Zagreb for a reported fee of €4.5m.
Sources told ESPN's Alex Kirkland that Grbic is already in Madrid, while Adan is on his way to Lisbon to join Sporting.
13.45 BST: Luis Suarez has no intention of leaving Barcelona this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has said the time had come to say "farewell to some club legends" as part of a major overhaul of the squad. Barcelona need to sell players before they can make a move in the transfer window.
The Catalan outfit is reportedly keen to sell Suarez in order to sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.
Suarez becomes a free agent in June 2021 but has a clause on his contract that would see his contract automatically renewed for a further campaign if he played 60% of Barcelona's games next season.
The Uruguay international's inner circle has brushed aside reports that the 33-year-old could leave Barcelona this summer, not even to join former club Ajax, that are among the teams interested in him.
Suarez reportedly also has an offer to play in the U.S. next season.
However, his entourage claim that the player has not been informed by Barcelona that he is on the transfer list and his intention is to honour his contract.
The former Liverpool player was Barcelona's top scorer in the Champions League with five goals and scored 21 goals and set up 12 more in La Liga.
13.11 BST: England international Lucy Bronze has confirmed to BBC 5 Live Sport that she will be leaving Lyon when her short-term contract extension ends in August.
Bronze's contract was due to end in June but she signed a two month extension so she could play with Lyon in the Champions League which was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"More football probably," she said when asked what her future holds. "I won't be staying at Lyon that's for sure but we'll have to wait and see."
The Telegraph have reported that the 28-year-old is on her way to City alongside Lyon and England teammate Alex Greenwood but the 2019 UEFA Women's Player of the Year winner was coy on what her future might hold.
"I've obviously got a link to City having played there before Lyon and I have a house there so when I was in lockdown, Manchester was where I was at but I think people are always going to make that assumption," she said of the link to City.
12.35 BST: MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps will be rooting for Bayern Munich in the Champions League final as a win would earn them €1m.
The club sold Alphonso Davies to the Bundesliga giants for €10m plus add-ons in January 2019, they now have a chance of profiting more off the Canada international as a clause in his contract stipulates they will get €1m should he win the treble with the club, according to Sport Bild.
As unlikely as it seemed when the deal was agreed, the rise of Davies, one of the stars of this year's Bundesliga and Champions League, could now lead to Bayern making this payment less than two years after selling him on.
11.58 BST: Benfica have reached an agreement to loan Yony Gonzalez to LA Galaxy until December 2020. The MLS club will have an option to acquire the Colombian winger at the end of the loan deal for an undisclosed fee.
Gonzalez, 26, made four appearances while on a six-month loan at Corinthians before returning to Benfica this summer. He is tied to Benfica until June 2024.
Benfica have also completed the signing of Corinthians midfielder Pedrinho on an €18m transfer. The two clubs had reached an agreement for the Brazilian to join the Lisbon outfit earlier this year but the fee that Benfica have paid is €2m less than what was announced initially.
Pedrinho has signed a five-year contract with Benfica and has a €120m release clause. The 22-year-old won one Brazilian Championship and three State Championships with Corinthians.
11.22 BST: Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has promised to make the changes that need to be made following Friday's humiliating 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich but said a revolution is not required.
Koeman, 57, was presented at Camp Nou on Wednesday after signing a two-year deal to replace the outgoing Quique Setien. He takes over a Barca side rocked by their biggest ever European defeat, which confirmed a first trophy-less season since 2007-08.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu said that it's time to say "farewell to some club legends" as part of a major overhaul of the squad. He named several players who are not for sale, including Lionel Messi, but the names of anyone else over the age of 30 were conspicuous by their absence.
It was taken as an invitation for the likes of Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez to leave the club, but Koeman played down expectations of such drastic measures.
"I think there have to be changes," Koeman said in a news conference. "But, in my opinion, it won't be a revolution. We will take decisions based on what is best for the team."
Lionel Messi's future is a hot topic at the moment. The forward has maintained his silence following the defeat to Bayern amid reports he wants to leave the club. Koeman says he has a chat pending with the Argentine, who has a contract until 2021.
"I don't know if I have to convince Messi to stay or not," the coach said. "Of course he's the best player in the world and you want the best player in the world in your team, not playing for the opposition.
"I would love to work with Messi because he wins games. If he has his usual performances, I will be delighted if he wants to stay. But he also has one year on his contract, so he is a Barcelona player. From there, we have to talk to him. I hope he continues here for more years."
10.41 BST: Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is unsure what will happen when his contract at the club expires next summer.
"No one, including me, can tell what will happen in the summer of 2021," the Croatia international wrote in "Luka Modric: My Autobiography." "I don't have a crystal ball to predict what direction my professional or personal life is going to take. Will something change at Real after the summer of 2021? I really don't know. But what I'm certain about is that I'm going to stay here until my contract expires. Then we'll go on from there."
Modric, 34, has won two Spanish league titles and four Champions Leagues since joining from Tottenham in 2012.
10.14 BST: AC Milan are hoping to finalise Zlatan Ibrahimovic's one-year contract extension this weekend, according to Sky Italia. However, the official announcement will only be made next week.
The Rossoneri begin their preseason on Monday and are hoping to have Ibrahimovic on board. Talks between the club and Ibrahimovic's agent are at a very advanced stage but there is still no agreement regarding his wages. Ibrahimovic has requested €7.5m while Milan have offered him €5m.
Since joining Milan from LA Galaxy in January, the Swedish forward has scored 11 goals in 20 appearances.
AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli spoke earlier this week of how important Ibrahimovic is to the squad. He said: "He is a point of reference for his teammates. His secret of success is his will to win and to seek improvement always.
09.41 BST: Sheffield United announced the signing of England under-21 goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Bournemouth on Wednesday. The 22-year-old returns to his former club for £18.5m in a move that is likely to have implications for Dean Henderson.
Sources have told ESPN's Rob Dawson that United are yet to make a decision on the future of Henderson, who has spent the past two seasons on loan at Bramall Lane, and discussions are ongoing.
After a full season in the Premier League with Sheffield United, the 23-year-old is keen to ensure he has regular first team football next term to put himself in a position to compete for England's No.1 spot ahead of the European Championships.
09.20 BST: Borussia Monchengladbach have signed Inter Milan right-back Valentino Lazaro to a one-year loan. The Austria international, 24, will be reunited with Marco Rose, who already coached him at FC Salzburg.
Lazaro made his first steps in the German top flight at Hertha Berlin from 2017 through to 2019. He returns to the Bundesliga after just one season with Inter Milan where he failed to break into the starting XI and was sent on loan to Newcastle United in January 2020.
According to reports in German media, Gladbach, who will feature in the 2020-21 Champions League, have the chance to turn the loan into a permanent transfer next summer.
08.59 BST: Real Madrid are facing a "countdown" for Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez, according to Marca's front page, with the newspaper reporting that "their departures are a priority."
Both players were left out of the squad by coach Zinedine Zidane for the club's Champions League defeat to Manchester City at their own request.
Marca says that "with nine days to go until pre-season gets underway" -- with Madrid's players expected back for COVID-19 testing on August 29 -- "there is no news on their situation."
Sources have previously told ESPN's Alex Kirkland and Rodrigo Faez that Madrid will only look to spend in the transfer market if they find a buyer for Bale.
Spain's Deportes Cuatro claimed on Thursday that a return to Tottenham could be on the cards, with the Wales forward keen on rejoining his former club.
08.28 BST: Bayern Munich and Liverpool are in contact over a transfer of Thiago Alcantara, kicker reports.
The 29-year-old playmaker is under contract at the Champions League finalists until 2021. However, negotiations over a new deal broke down and the former Barcelona player is ready to take on a new challenge.
Liverpool are reported to be leading the race, and on Thursday German outlet kicker confirmed that the two clubs are discussing a suitable fee for Thiago. Bayern have already said they will allow the Spain midfielder a transfer if a club meets their demands.
Munich are believed to be holding out for a fee close to €40m and there is still some work to be done before the transfer can be completed.
08.00 BST: Manchester United remain determined to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer, but an inability to agree personal terms with the player and negotiate an agent fee with his representative is holding up any deal with the German club, sources have told ESPN's Mark Ogden.
United have been given the green light by Dortmund to speak to the England winger and his representative, although direct contact between the two clubs has been limited as a result of the impasse with the player's camp.
Sources have told ESPN that United are confident of striking a deal with Dortmund once, when, or if, it gets to the stage of negotiating a transfer fee with the Bundesliga side.
But sources have also said that there remains a wide gulf between the expectations of the Sancho camp and United's view of the 20-year-old's salary demands. The fee required by the player's agent to negotiate the deal is also too high for United to contemplate agreeing to.

PAPER TALK (by Nick Judd): Blues consider freebie Silva to bolster defence
Chelsea are on a mission to bolster their leaky defence this summer and the Telegraph believes manager Frank Lampard is considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva.
The former Brazil captain is available on a free transfer and though he's arguably past his best at 35 years of age, he would bring with him a wealth of experience.
Silva will play his last game for the Parisians when he attempts to keep Bayern Munich at bay in the Champions League final, and he is prepared to take a sizeable pay cut in an effort to secure his future away from the French capital.
Lampard has made several signings to strengthen his side's attacking capabilities, but now his next target is a defender.
Italian sides AC Milan and Fiorentina are also said to be interested in Silva's services, but the Telegraph believes that he would prefer a move to England.
Arsenal close in on Gabriel
The race for Gabriel Magalhaes' signature is hotting up and, after Napoli stepped up their efforts to land the 22-year-old on Wednesday, Arsenal are now believed to be on the verge of landing Lille's sought-after defender.
That's according to L'Equipe, who claim that Gabriel is on the verge of a move to north London where he will sign a five-year contract.
As well as Napoli, Everton were also said to be keen for the left-footed centre-back. Napoli are said to be able to offer a higher salary, while Everton have been blown out of the water by both Napoli and Arsenal.
Yet it's the Gunners, according to the French publication, who are reportedly close to claiming their second signing from Lille after the arrival of Nicolas Pepe last summer.

- Manchester United are close to signing Barcelona wonderkid Marc Jurado, according to Goal. The 16-year-old is said to be joining the Reds in the coming days when his international clearance is sorted. Jurado turned down a new deal at Camp Nou earlier in the summer and the right-back is expected to land in Manchester in the next few days.
- Aston Villa and Leeds United are reportedly battling it out to sign Liverpool winger Harry Wilson, according to the Sun. The 23-year-old Wales international hasn't formed part of the Reds' preseason trip to Austria, though he is expected to return from injury in time for the Community Shield showdown with Arsenal at the end of August. Wilson wants to fight for his place in the Liverpool squad but knows he faces a big challenge, and he is reportedly keener to move rather than go out on loan.
- A falling out with Celtic manager Neil Lennon has led to the Mail speculating that Tom Rogic will soon be moving to Qatar. The 27-year-old Socceroo is yet to make an appearance for Lennon's side this season and word is that an unnamed Qatari club is prepared to offer £4 million for the former Central Coast Mariner.
