TOP STORY: Arsenal face battle for Odegaard
Arsenal are keen to keep Martin Odegaard beyond the end of the season, but they could face a battle from Liverpool, among others, according to AS.
The 22-year-old playmaker is at the Emirates Stadium on loan from Real Madrid until the end of the season, and Mikel Arteta is hoping the Gunners can persuade Odegaard to continue pulling the strings into next season and beyond.
However, AS adds that Odegaard could be tempted to leave Arsenal for Premier League rivals Liverpool
The outlet bases this partly on Jurgen Klopp's long embrace with Odegaard at the final whistle after Liverpool's comprehensive 3-0 win against Arsenal at the weekend.
AS adds that Odegaard may have been put off by Arsenal's performance and that Klopp was having a word in the ear of the dynamic Norwegian.
There could be more truth to the madness, though, with Klopp a longtime admirer of Odegaard and the player now easier to tempt away from Madrid than ever before.

22.00 BST: Bologna are safely mid-table this season in Serie A but they sure could do with an influx of goals.
With just 39 goals scored in 29 games, Sinisa Mihajlovic's side are expected to be in the market for a forward, with former West Ham ace Marko Arnautovic linked. Calciomercato claims that the Austria international, who currently plays in China with Shanghai Port, remains a target for the summer.
The 31-year-old briefly spent time in Serie A back in 2010 while on loan with Inter.
21.19 BST: Tottenham and Arsenal have joined the fray for towering Fiorentina frontman Dusan Vlahovic, SportWitness writes.
The 21-year-old Serb has scored 13 Serie A goals this season and is also reportedly on the radar of AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Roma and Borussia Dortmund. La Viola are asking for €50 million for the striker, which would seem to price out both clubs given their current situations.
20.32 BST: Everton have reportedly set a £21.4 million asking price for centre-back Yerry Mina, TEAMtalk has learned.
The Colombian, 26, is reportedly keen to move to Italy per the Sun, with Carlo Ancelotti potentially lining up former Napoli charge Kalidou Koulibaly as a replacement. Koulibaly is expected to cost around o £42.75m, so selling Mina would only recover Everton half the needed transfer fee for the Senegalese.
Either way, Everton look to be starting to build something and Ancelotti's connections could again prove a crucial resource.
19.57 BST: AC Milan are reportedly tracking Rubin Kazan winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to Tuttosport.
The Georgia international, 20, has scored four goals and provided eight assists this season, and is expected in Italy in the coming days for transfer talks.
19.01 BST: Veteran defender Craig Dawson will join West Ham on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old, who has had a strong season on loan from Watford, will reportedly join for £2 million.
"Craig's performances, attitude and the impact he's had demonstrate why he deserves a permanent deal," manager David Moyes said.
"He arrived with a wealth of Premier League experience and that's been really important to us.
"He had to be patient but he's comes in and grabbed his opportunity with both hands. We are always looking to improve the squad and Craig joining us permanently certainly does that."
18.09 BST: Rangers right-back and captain James Tavernier has signed a two-year contract extension at the club which will see him stay at Ibrox through the 2024 season.
The 29-year-old has been an integral piece in helping Rangers win their first Scottish Premier League title since 2011, and his extension in a symbol of the club's ambition to continue to kick-on from here. Tavernier, who arrived at Rangers in 2015 from Wigan, has emerged as one of the most productive right-backs in world football, and this season has already racked up 17 goals and 15 assists.
17.33 BST: Jesse Lingard has been a revelation for West Ham since arriving on loan in January and the surprising top-four contenders are keen to keep him.
West Ham do not currently have a purchase option in the midfielder's loan agreement, but Sky's Kaveh Solhekol understands that David Moyes and the club want to keep him at the London Stadium at all costs.
West Ham "will do whatever it takes" to try and sign Jesse Lingard permanently from Manchester United this summer. Lingard moved to West Ham in January on loan until the end of the season without an option to buy.

Lingard, 28, has scored six goals and dished out four assists in eight games from the Hammers, after barely playing over the past two-plus seasons at Manchester United.

16.20 BST: Sporting CP midfielder Pedro Goncalves is being tracked by Arsenal, says A Bola.
Goncalves, 22, has 15 goals and five assists this season and could replace Martin Odegaard if the Norway international doesn't stay at the Emirates after his loan from Real Madrid expires this summer.
Sporting have a €60m release clause in Goncalves' contract though, so he won't come cheap.
15.55 BST: Liverpool can tolerate Mohamed Salah transfer speculation while he continues to shine, writes Mark Ogden.
Jurgen Klopp is prepared to accept the noise surrounding Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool while the Egyptian forward continues to perform at the level he has maintained throughout his four years at Anfield.
But speculation linking the 28-year-old with a move to Spain has once again resurfaced, in tandem with the player speaking to the Spanish media last week.
Sources have told ESPN that, rather being irritated by Salah's readiness to discuss the prospect of a move away from Anfield, Klopp is relaxed about the situation and unfazed by the focus on one of his star players. The dire financial situation at La Liga's two biggest clubs, meaning they would struggle to get close to affording Salah, no doubt plays its part, too.
One source told ESPN that Salah "continues to train superbly, is always available to play and is a positive and popular figure within the Liverpool dressing-room; he also produces on the pitch and these are the only things that matter to Jurgen and the club."
15.18 BST: The Athletic reports that Southampton want to sign Everton forward Theo Walcott permanently once his loan move expires this summer.
Walcott, 32, will be a free agent in a few months and the winger could extend his stay at the club where he made his professional debut in August 2005 before moving to Arsenal a year later.
Elsewhere, Southampton have been linked with Liverpool's Neco Williams and Manchester United's Brandon Williams.

14.22 BST: Norwich winger Emiliano Buendia has caught the eye of Liverpool, says Anfield Central.
Buendia, 24, moved to Norwich in 2018 and has scored 11 goals and contributed 13 assists this season.
Liverpool have Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane up front, but need backup with Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi failing to get minutes. Diogo Jota has impressed since his £41m arrival from Wolves and Buendia could have a similar impact.
Arsenal have also been tracking the Argentine, with reports that Norwich would consider offers of over £40m.
14.00 BST: Jesse Lingard's loan from Man United to West Ham has made him Premier League's most instrumental player. No, really.
Having rediscovered his best form and muscled his way back into the England frame, it's difficult to argue Lingard has been anything less than exceptional since departing Manchester United on loan at the tail end of January,
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has produced six goals and three assists in eight Premier League games since making his debut for the Hammers on Feb. 3. Not a single Premier League player has been involved in more goals in that time. How's that for an instant impact?
13.26 BST: Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani will make a decision on his future in the coming weeks, says Argentine newspaper Ole.
Cavani, 34, is reportedly keen to depart Manchester and move to Boca Juniors, with the Argentine club growing more confident they can land him.
12.45 BST: Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is out of contract this summer and it seems a lot of clubs are interested.
Calhanoglu, 27, has impressed in Milan but has been unable to agree new terms with the club only willing to offer him €4m-a-year in wages, which is below the €5m he wants.
Sky Italia reports that talks are now at a standstill and that other clubs are circling: namely Juventus, Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Turkey international is reportedly happy to stay in Milan but will be looking for a new team if a new deal can't be sorted out.
12.17 BST: Will Harry Kane be looking to leave Tottenham if they don't win a trophy soon?
11.30 BST: ICYMI - Barcelona will continue to pursue the signing of Erling Haaland after meeting with his representatives last week, but several sources at the club have told ESPN it will be "very difficult" to do a deal for the Borussia Dortmund striker.
New Barca president Joan Laporta met with Haaland's agent Mino Raiola and his father, Alf-Inge Haaland, in the Catalan city on Thursday to discuss a transfer. Raiola and Haaland Sr. also met with Real Madrid representatives later in the day.
Sources have told ESPN that Laporta left the meeting committed to trying to sign the Norway international, but there's also an acknowledgment that Barca's financial situation is likely to impede a potential deal.
Barca's gross debt has risen to nearly €1.2 billion and the club need to reduce their wage bill. Laporta said in his inauguration speech that he will have to make big decisions and Barca would have to sell several players for sizeable fees to even consider Haaland -- who has a €75m release clause that can be triggered in 2022 -- this summer.
11.07 BST: The LA Galaxy have reached an agreement to sign Kevin Cabral from French second-division club Valenciennes, sources have told ESPN's Julien Laurens.
The Major League Soccer side will pay nearly $5.9m (€5m) to bring in the 21-year-old forward.
Cabral has been one of the revelations of the season for Valenciennes, with the Paris Saint-Germain academy product signing a contract with the Galaxy through 2026.
10.46 BST: Ronald Koeman wants Ousmane Dembele to extend his contract with Barcelona after the Frenchman rescued his side with a dramatic late winner against Real Valladolid on Monday.
Dembele, 23, scored in the 90th minute to earn Barca a 1-0 win that moved them to within one point of league leaders Atletico Madrid.
It continued the forward's transformation under Koeman. In October, he was deemed surplus to requirements and looked set to join Manchester United on loan but ended up staying at Barca and has since become a key man at Camp Nou.
However, with his contract up in 2022, sources have told ESPN that Barca are desperate to extend his terms to avoid losing him for free next year -- or having to let him go for a reduced price this summer.
"He's an important player," Koeman told reporters after Barca extended their unbeaten run in La Liga to 19 games. "He's shown that with his performance here and above all with the goal that gave us three points. Ousmane's development this season has been really good. Physically, he's improved a lot; I think that's been the key to his quality and consistency to play so many games. So yes, if it's up to me, I would like him to stay with us."
Diario Sport reported earlier this week that Barca are a little worried over the lack of urgency from Dembele's camp to thrash out a new deal, with United and Juventus among those linked with the France international.
10.04 BST: Will David De Gea still be at Manchester United next season?
09.36 BST: Gerard Moreno is one of Atletico Madrid's "main options to reinforce the forward line this summer," Marca reports, although the striker's €100m release clause at Villarreal will complicate any deal.
Moreno, 28, has found the net 19 times in La Liga this season, putting him behind only Lionel Messi in the goal scoring charts.
Atletico's 2021-22 attacking line-up is uncertain as Luis Suarez has a clause in his two-year deal which would allow him to leave this summer, while it's not clear if the club will take up their €33.5m option to sign Moussa Dembele, who has barely featured since joining on loan from Lyon in January.
Villarreal president Fernando Roig has previously said he would be unwilling to accept any offer for Moreno below his €100m clause.
09.09 BST: Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng will leave the club this summer after 10 highly successful years, kicker reports.
Boateng's contract is up in the summer and kicker reported the 32-year-old has now been informed he will not get a new deal.
The Berlin-born former Germany international was one of the cornerstones of Bayern's decade of silverware. He helped the club to two Treble wins in 2013 and 2020, eight straight Bundesliga titles and five German cups.
The former Manchester City man was also one of the star players in the 2014 World Cup final, which Germany won 1-0 against Argentina after extra time.

08.47 BST: AC Milan have accelerated Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract negotiations with the Swedish forward expected to sign next week a one-year extension, according to Sky.
Ibrahimovic, who returned to the Rossoneri in January 2020, becomes a free agent this summer but has agreed to remain at Milan for a further season. The 39-year-old has accepted a €7m-per-year salary, the same as what is earning this season.
The only details that are yet to be agreed on are the added bonuses that will be included in the contract. If all goes well, Ibrahimovic will sign the new deal in the next 10 days.
Ibrahimovic has scored 17 goals, including 15 league goals, in 27 appearances for Milan this season.

Last summer saw Barca focus on reducing the wage bill, with several big earners, such as Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez, allowed to leave for nominal fees. One source told ESPN that given the financial climate Barca are in, a similar transfer window is expected this time around. However, Laporta is planning for all eventualities. He met with Ronald Koeman during the international break to start planning for next season. The Barca coach wants a striker added to the squad, with Haaland's name at the top of the list of targets.
ESPN reported in March that Dortmund would want €180m for Haaland this summer, while reports in Spain this weekend suggested Raiola and Alf-Inge Haaland would each want €20m in commission in addition to a €30m net salary for Erling Haaland.

- The rumours linking Neymar to a Barcelona return continue, but Mundo Deportivo believes the move, if it happens, will take place in 2022. Barcelona are unwilling to pay PSG any kind of release clause this summer and, with the Brazilian forward keen to return to Camp Nou, the Catalan club are willing to wait in an effort to sign him on a free transfer.
- David Luiz's future remains in doubt with the Brazilian's contract up in the summer, but the Sun is suggesting the Arsenal defender may have to take a pay cut if he's to stay at the Emirates beyond the end of the season. Gunners chiefs are reluctant to extend Luiz's deal on the current terms of £120,000-a-week, but ultimately the decision will be made when the club's final league position is clear, and whether or not they're in Europe.
- Internazionale are looking for players out of contract this summer in an effort to add depth to their squad, and Calciomercato reports Nikola Maksimovic and Georginio Wijnaldum are at the top of the list. Maksimovic, 29, is at Napoli and is unlikely to stay beyond the end of the season, while Wijnaldum, 30, is expected to leave Liverpool in the summer. Inter boss Antonio Conte is looking to strengthen his options so that his side can battle on multiple fronts next season.
- Manchester City are considering replacing Fernandinho with 23-year-old midfielder Sander Berge from Sheffield United, according to Voetbal24. The report says that Pep Guardiola is keen to get the signing done in the summer and, with the Blades likely to be relegated, the chances of Berge staying at Bramall Lane are considered slim. Should Berge sign for City, his previous club Genk are due 20% of whatever fee is paid to Sheffield United.
- Chelsea are said to monitoring Palmeiras' 20-year-old midfielder Gabriel Menino, according to Fabrizio Romano. Transfer talks haven't started yet, but the Blues are scouting the youngster with a view to a move this summer, though the Londoners are not alone in their admiration. Atletico Madrid are also looking to sign Menino, but they need to trim their squad before they can consider refreshing it, says the report, which could open the door for Chelsea to make their move.
