Schneiderlin holds Koeman talks

Morgan Schneiderlin has spoken with new Southampton manager Ronald Koeman but has yet to make a decision regarding his future.

Schneiderlin, who signed for Saints from Strasbourg in 2008, has been linked with a making a summer move to Premier League rivals Arsenal by the British media.

Southampton have already sold Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana to Liverpool and Luke Shaw to Manchester United.

Koeman wants Schneiderlin to remain at St Mary's but the France international is uncertain about whether he will be with the club next season.

Asked about Koeman, the 24-year-old is quoted by the Mirror as saying: "Yes he called me about a week ago, but what was said will stay between us.

"He wants me to stay and we'll see. I don't know yet. I still have three years' contract at Southampton. Nothing has happened, I am going to relax and go on holiday and we will see."

Schneiderlin added about the club's transfer plans: "We have a lot of money coming in to the club and now it is up to the board to spend this money.

"I have seen how many players left the club. It is the club's choice and I have nothing to say about their choice."
