Inter Milan complete Geoffrey Kondogbia signing from Monaco

Inter Milan have completed the signing of Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco.

Kondogbia confirmed he was joining Inter last month, despite strong interest from city rivals AC Milan, but the deal has only now been completed.

A statement on the club's official website read: "F.C. Internazionale is pleased to announce that the bureaucratic formalities relating to the transfer of Geoffrey Kondogbia from AS Monaco have now been completed.

"The 22-year-old French midfielder has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the club. Welcome to Inter, Geoffrey!"

The deal is reported to have cost Inter around €30 million, despite earlier suggestions it was closer to €40m.

Inter have had a busy summer in the transfer market, with Miranda having signed from Atletico Madrid and Martin Montoya set to join from Barcelona, while Joel Obi has left for Torino and Xherdan Shaqiri is the subject of interest from Stoke.
