Outspoken Western Sydney coach Markus Babbel has been fined $3000 over post-match comments and warned he might face more severe sanctions for any further breach of the FFA's national code of conduct.
Babbel was cited over his remarks after the Wanderers' 2-1 away loss to Wellington and, after considering his submission, FFA on Friday determined he had breached three clauses of the code.
In a statement, FFA said it considered sanctions applied in comparable incidents in the A-League and the fact this was Babbel's second breach this season.
The German coach has been angered in recent weeks by some refereeing decisions, with the pressure increasing on him and the club after four-successive losses had dropped them from top spot to mid table.
"You can't tell me this is bad luck," Babbel said at his conference after the Wellington game.
"This is too often now, too often against us, and there's something behind it - that's my opinion.
"We have to understand that we play not against 11 but against 12 - this is a trend now."
Babbel was also cited last month for post-match comments after he was asked about a contentious penalty awarded to Melbourne City.
Asked what he thought about the decision Babbel said: "Is this a serious question? Serious question? F***'s sake."
The FFA informed Babbel that any further breach of the code might result in more-severe sanctions being applied.
The Wanderers' coach has seven business days to appeal FFA's decision.
Babbel said in the days after each incident, he would try to calm down.
His team face Perth on Saturday at HBF Stadium.
