Zlatan Ibrahimovic has told Le Parisien that Angel Di Maria would improve Paris Saint-Germain as the midfielder edges closer to a Manchester United exit.
Di Maria, 27, was due to fly to America on Saturday to join United's preseason tour but missed his flight, fuelling speculation he wants to leave the club.
PSG coach Laurent Blanc believes there is a "good possibility" that his side will sign the midfielder, and Parc des Princes star Ibrahimovic thinks the Argentina international would be a valuable addition to the French champions.
"Welcome to him, he will bring his qualities, he is a good player," the Sweden captain said. "With him the team will be better."
United paid £59.7 million for Di Maria in August 2014, when PSG were also interested in him, and would be reluctant to make a major loss on the British record signing with the Ligue 1 champions reportedly set to pay £46m.
United manager Louis van Gaal admitted he did not know why Di Maria missed his flight to America after the 2014 Champions League winner had been granted more time off after helping his country reach the Copa America final.
Di Maria lost his place in the United team after he was sent off against Arsenal in the FA Cup and only began one of their final 10 games last season.
Ibrahimovic is entering the final year of his contract, but he says he's happy at PSG and called Paris "the best city in Europe" in an exclusive interview with ESPN FC.
However, the striker has also hinted that he would be open to a move to MLS in future.
