Morecambe keeper Barry Roche heads home 94th minute equaliser

Kudos are most definitely due to Morecambe 'keeper Barry Roche, who simply refused to give up and subsequently ended up rescuing a point for his side against Portsmouth on Tuesday evening.

Trailing by a single goal as the game ticked over into injury time, it looked for all the world as though Morecambe would be forced to resign themselves to a fourth straight league defeat.

However, cometh the hour, cometh the Roche -- the Shrimps' stopper came hurtling up the pitch for a 94th-minute corner and proceeded to head the ball home to salvage an unlikely point at the very death.

Speaking after the game, Roche revealed he was absolutely overjoyed at scoring his first ever career goal before admitting that he had absolutely no idea how to celebrate it.

"I hadn't got a clue what to do," the 33-year-old told the Morecambe Visitor. "I thought about doing a Klinsmann dive but the pitch is too dry so I just jumped and then there was the pile on of all pile ons. I couldn't breath so I had to throw a few off me but it's a great feeling."
