Chelsea narrowly avoided one of the great FA Cup shocks on Saturday night, beating Wrexham 4-2 in a scoreline that flattered the west London side.
Sam Smith opened the scoring for the hosts before an unfortunate Arthur Okonkwo own goal got Chelsea back in the game. Callum Doyle restored Wrexham's lead before Josh Acheampong got the visitors level just four minutes later and heading for extra-time.
George Dobson was then sent off just before full-time with Wrexham failing to recover and conceding twice in extra-time down to 10 men to see their Cup dream end at the fifth round while Chelsea moved on to their seventh quarterfinal in the last 10 years.
