Parkinson seeks light at the end of the tunnel
This has been one of Wrexham's poorest starts to a season under Phil Parkinson, and the ship needs to be steadied as soon as possible. Wrexham have only two points from three games, and aren't really functioning as Parkinson's teams usually have.
After the loss to Birmingham on Friday night, Parkinson said he was shellshocked, and bemoaned Wrexham's defending, as they conceded goals which he called utterly unacceptable. That cannot go on for the team from north Wales, and a tough trip to London is perhaps an occasion to show that the start of the season was an aberration and not the norm which will continue.
Opportunity for Millwall to bounce straight back
Millwall started the season really well, with two straight wins in the Championship -- beating Bristol City 2-0 and the Norwich City 3-0. They have also progressed from the first two rounds of the Carabao Cup, but over the weekend, they fell to that heavy loss at St. Mary's.
Six points from three games is still enough of a healthy position to be in after the opening three league games of the season, but the scoreline is the kind that can dent confidence and lead to a spiral of sorts, and that is what they will need to guard against.
