Swansea have criticised Dutch club Utrecht over comments they made in relation to the ongoing Michel Vorm transfer case. Vorm's 2014 transfer to Tottenam was the subject of a Court of Arbitration for Sport hearing at the end of January, following a complaint from Utrecht. The 32-year-old goalkeeper's former club claim they are owed a sell-on fee for a player they sold to Swansea for £1.5 million in 2011. He went on to make 97 appearances for the Welsh club. Netherlands international Vorm left Swansea for Spurs on the same day as defender Ben Davies, with forward Gylfi Sigurdsson going the other way, and Utrecht questioned why the goalkeeper, with two years left on his contract, was given a zero value in the transactions. Utrecht director Wilco van Schaik, quoted by Dutch TV station RTV Utrecht last weekend, said CAS had "proven them right on some points" but that "overall they had been defeated." However, there has been no official statement from the Lausanne-based court and Swansea issued a terse statement concerning the case on Tuesday. "Swansea has seen the comments made on behalf of Utrecht and was extremely surprised and disappointed at both their timing and inaccuracy," read the statement on the club's official website. "We wish to make it clear that both clubs have been instructed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport to refrain from comment pending publication of the full decision by the court and we have fully respected this. "Immediately as that occurs the club will make a clear and full comment." The Dutch Eredivisie outfit have previously had their case dismissed by world football's governing body FIFA.
