Eskisehirspor fans trash Eskisehir Ataturk Stadium after final match

Fans of Turkish Super Lig club Eskisehirspor trashed their own stands and set them alight following the club's last-ever match at Eskisehir Ataturk Stadium on Sunday.

Following the final whistle -- Medipol Basaksehir defeated the hosts 2-1 -- fans invaded the pitch and overturned the goals in a demonstration of disgust for their team before turning their attention to the aging stadium.

According to reports, three fans were injured in the process and hospitalised after suffering minor injuries as a result of fire and smoke inhalation.

Eskisehirspor, who have been relegated to Turkey's second tier, had already finalised plans to move to a newly-built 33,000-seat stadium next season.
