Teenage West Ham defender Reece Oxford appears to have distanced himself from stories claiming he has snubbed a new deal. Reports on Tuesday night said the 17-year-old had rejected a new contract with the Hammers and would be allowed to leave the club for a fee in excess of £10 million. But writing on his Twitter account, Oxford said "Wow rumours will be rumours" adding emojis of a face laughing with tears and a snoozing face. Oxford broke into the West Ham side to some acclaim last summer, putting in some stellar first-team performances when just 16. He went on to make 12 appearances throughout the season -- five of which came this year -- and he has two years remaining on his existing deal.
