Walker's career day leads Loyola by Lafayette 83-77

BALTIMORE -- Andre Walker scored a career-high 43 points to help Loyola (Maryland) beat Lafayette 83-77 on Sunday.

Walker was 16-of-26 shooting with six 3-pointers to top his previous high of 35 set against Boston University last season. He was one point shy of tying the program's single-game record by Jim Lacy (1948) and Joel Hittleman ('54). Walker also had six rebounds and four steals.

Walker moved into 11th on Loyola's scoring list, passing Bob Connor (1967-71) and B.J. Pendleton (1991-95).

Isaiah Hart added 15 points with a career-high seven assists and Cam Gregory had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Loyola (5-12, 3-3 Patriot League). The Greyhounds shot 56 percent from the field but were just 9 of 19 from the free-throw line.

Petrie tied it at 53-all with 12:30 left but Walker scored 17 of Loyola's next 19 points for a 72-58 lead at the 5:59 mark.
