Anderson scores 16, leads Brown past Army 86-66

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Brandon Anderson tossed in 16 points to lead five players in double figures and added three assists and three steals to lead Brown to an 86-66 victory over Army on Sunday in the Brown Bears Tip-Off Classic.

Desmond Cambridge had 13 points and Tamenang Choh pitched in with 12 points and 10 rebounds for his second career double-double for the Bears (3-2). Zach Hunsaker and Obi Okolie scored 12 and 10, respectively.

Brown took control of the game in the first half by knocking down 8 of 14 shots from 3-point range and winning the rebound battle 28-14. Hunsaker and Cambridge both scored 10 to help the Bears take a 46-26 lead into intermission. The Black Knights (1-4) managed to make only 32 percent of its shots in the first 20 minutes and whiffed on 13 of 16 shots from distance.

The Black Knights, who start four guards, got 15 points and five assists from Tommy Funk. Big man Matt Wilson had 14 points and Aaron Duhart scored 13. Wilson, who came into the game averaging 19.5 points on 74-percent shooting from the floor, sank 7 of 12 shots.
