UAB uses 10-0 run to pull away from Alabama A&M, wins 67-57

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Lewis Sullivan and Tavin Lovan scored 12 points apiece to lead UAB to a 67-57 victory over Alabama A&M on Thursday night.

UAB (5-2) has won back-to-back games since consecutive double-digit losses that included then-No. 14 Florida State.

Jeremiah Bell added 11 points and Jalen Perry had 10 for the Blazers, who shot 29 of 56 (52 percent) from the floor.

Arthur Johnson scored 17 points to lead Alabama A&M (0-7), and made three of the Bulldogs' seven 3-pointers. Jalen Reeder added 13 points, Tre Todd had 12 and Gerron Scissum 11.

UAB built a 34-27 halftime lead and stretched it to 52-39 with about 10 minutes left. Back-to-back 3-pointers by Johnson and Todd pulled Alabama A&M to 57-49. The Blazers answered with a 10-0 run, capped by Will Butler's dunk, and the Bulldogs didn't get closer.
