DELAND, Fla. -- DeAnthony McCallum scored 14 points, David Bell blocked a shot at the buzzer and Jacksonville held off Stetson 53-52 on Saturday. McCallum's 3-pointer tied the game 50-50 with 3:03 to play, and Diante Wood's layup for Jacksonville capped the scoring with 1:20 left. Jahlil Rawley forced a Jacksonville turnover with 14 seconds to go before Bell blocked Rob Perry's layup attempt to end the game. Stetson led 50-47 with 6:31 remaining then missed its last eight field goal attempts. Wood had 11 points for Jacksonville (14-17, 7-9 Atlantic Sun Conference). Destin Barnes added 11 points and seven rebounds. Bell had 10 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
