VIERA, Fla. (AP) _ Chuck Finley allowed three hits in five scoreless innings, leading the Cleveland Indians over the Florida Marlins 7-5 Monday. Finley, signed as a free agent after spending his entire career with the Angels, struck out five, walked one and got the win. ``I just try and get a little better each time I go out there,'' Finley said. ``I've felt good this spring and hopefully it keeps up.'' Florida starter Jesus Sanchez struck out five in six innings, allowing one run and three hits. Reid Cornelius followed and was hit hard, giving up five runs _ three earned _ and six hits in two innings. Jolbert Cabrera was 2-for-2 with two RBIs for the Indians. Russell Branyan also had two RBIs for Cleveland, and Jacob Cruz was 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Sandy Alomar hit a solo homer. Julio Ramirez and Chris Clapinski each had two hits and an RBI for the Marlins, who fell behind 6-1. Notes: In a ``B'' game, Alex Fernandez and Dan Miceli combined on a three-hitter. Fernandez allowed two hits in five shutout innings, and struck out four in the seven-inning game. Mark Smith was 2-for-3 in the ``B'' game and homered in the regular game.
