FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.(AP) _ Juan Castro's RBI single drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Baltimore Orioles 5-4 Monday, improving to 2-11 this spring.

Harold Baines and Derrick May homered, and Albert Belle hit a two-run single for the Orioles, who had won three of four games.

Dodgers starter Kevin Brown allowed three runs _ two earned_ and four hits in five innings, striking out five and walking none. Kevin Elster drove in three runs with two doubles for Los Angeles.

With the score 4-all, loser B.J. Ryan walked Tony Mota leading off the ninth. Mota stole second, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on Castro's single to left.

Winner Onan Masaoka allowed a game-tying homer to May in the eighth, and Terry Adams pitched a perfect ninth for a save.

Belle's single put Baltimore ahead in thew first, but Elster's double tied the score in the second. Baines homered off Brown in the fourth.

Baines led off the fourth with his second spring homer.

Los Angeles took a 4-3 lead in the sixth against Rafael Pina on run-scoring singles by Mota and Elster.
