SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) _ Milwaukee made eight errors and Ellis Burks hit his first spring home run Thursday as the San Francisco Giants sent the Brewers to their fifth straight loss, 18-14.

Shortstop Mark Loretta and first baseman Brian Banks made two errors each for Milwaukee, which has 13 in two games. Right fielder Damon Hollins, pitcher Jim Bruske, catcher Creighton Gubanich and second baseman Lou Collier also had error, but San Francisco only scored three unearned runs.

With the score 14-all, Jay Canizaro singled in two runs in a seven-run eighth inning for San Francisco, which outhit Milwaukee 17-16.

Lyle Mouton was 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and six RBIs for the Brewers.

Burks' three-run homer in the first sparked a six-run inning against Jimmy Haynes, who allowed seven runs _ five earned _ and seven hits in four innings.

Milwaukee took a 14-11 lead with a four-run eighth against winner Dave Maurer. Mouton and Lou Collier each drove in two runs.

Loser Rod Bolton allowed five runs, five hits and two walks in 1 1-3 innings. Doug Clark, Mike Byas, Russ Davis and Terrell Lowery also drove in runs in the eighth.

Mouton also hit a three-run homer in the fifth and an RBI double in the sixth.

Jose Hernandez hit a three-run homer against Giants starter Kirk Rueter, who allowed three runs and five hits in four innings.

San Francisco scored four runs in the seventh, two on a double by Calvin Murray, to take an 11-10 lead.

Notes: The Giants' team ERA rose to 7.62 from 7.01, while the Brewers' ERA rose to 7.07. ... Barry Bonds went 2-for-3 and has seven hits in his last 12 at bats. ... Mouton is batting .481 and is tied for the team lead with 14 RBIs.
