BOX SCORE
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ Omar Daal gave up just three hits in five innings, and Damian Miller homered as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Colorado Rockies 6-3 on Friday. Daal, coming off a 16-win season, retired the first 11 hitters he faced before Larry Walker doubled with two outs in the fourth and scored on Jeff Cirillo's single. Colorado's only other hit off Daal was an infield single by Scott Servais. Daal has allowed only three runs with no walks in 13 innings. The Rockies, playing all of their regulars for the first five innings, tied the game at 3 against Arizona reliever Brad Clontz in the eighth, but Lyle Overbay drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth with a single off Billy Taylor. Overbay, an 18th-round draft pick in 1999, showed immediate promise last fall when he became the first short-season player to drive in 100 runs. He had 101 RBIs in 75 games for Missoula of the Pioneer League.
